HYDRAULIC BRAKE

Brakes which are operated with the help of hydraulic pressure are known as hydraulic brake. Most of the cars today use hydraulic brakes Operated by foot on all the four wheels with the additional hand brake mechanically operated on rear wheels.
LAYOUT AND COMPONENTS

1.    Brake pedal
2.    Master cylinder
3.    Fluid reservoir
4.    Wheel cylinder
WORKING PRINCIPLE

Master cylinder works as a reservoir of the brake fluid. Master cylinder is operated by brake pedal and further connected to wheel cylinders in each wheel through steel pipes. So hydraulic brake works on the principle of Pascal’s low
Pascal’s low – pressure applied to a liquid in a close vessel is equally transmitted to all the directions.

Pressure is the ratio of external applied force to the area of cross-section. According to Pascal‘s low
